Alex Gentemann is a student and artist working primarily in the field of abstract painting. A predominant theme of Gentemann’s art is his personal exploration of chromatic synesthesia, or his ability to perceive colors and textures in relation to sound.
Gentemann’s paintings and synesthesia have been the subject of articles and interviews which have gained him local recognition in his hometown of Hilton Head Island. His artistic work has also made him the candidate of several scholarships.
